What role do housing associations play in the housing waiting list?
We work in partnership with housing associations to provide affordable housing in the district. Housing waiting list and transfer list applicants may be considered for a nomination to a housing association whenever suitable vacancies arise. If you are on the waiting list you may also wish to apply directly to a housing association in the area. View a list of local housing associations. Each housing association has its own rules about who may register on its waiting list and how its properties are allocated. From time to time they may also close their lists to new applicants. If you are on our housing waiting list and are rehoused by a housing association, we will considered you to be adequately housed and you will not be able to remain on our list.
