Anne was one of many victims of the war who were being persecuted by the Nazis. She was intruiging to so many people because she was a child and she had so much optimism and so much hope for a better future for the world. Her diary gave us an insight as to what was going on in her life and she was becoming a woman. In the unedited uncensored version of her diary, she spoke of how her body was changing and how she was developing feelings for people.
