What role can Stater Bros. Markets play in the rejuvenation of San Bernardino and surrounding communities?
A. Stater Bros. Markets has played a major role in the rejuvenation of San Bernardino and surrounding communities. In fact, in 1983 Stater Bros. built the first new supermarket in the downtown San Bernardino area. We built a new supermarket at Shandin Hills, 40th Street, Baseline and Waterman; with million dollar remodels of our stores at Highland and Muscupiabe and Del Rosa supermarket. Stater Bros. has been a leader through their major multi million dollar investments in San Bernardino. This year we will be moving the Stater Bros. Corporate Offices and Distribution Center to San Bernardino. This will add an additional $160 million a year in payroll and provide more than 2,000 jobs to the San Bernardino economy as well as taking empty land paying no taxes and turn it around where Stater Bros. will be paying millions of dollars in new taxes, building a better future – for all.
