As s permanent resident you will have equal rights as a Bulgarian citizen regarding: • Access to the labour market and business opportunities; • Social and health care provision • Benefits for all tax concessions Once Bulgaria enters the Schengen Area (March 2011) you will be able to travel without a visa in and out of the Schengen countries – 25 in total at the moment. After five years you will be eligible for a passport. This will allow you to travel , live and work with your family within the EU and many non EU countries and you will be eligible to vote in Bulgarian elections.
