What Restrictions Apply to Recreational use on State Lands?
Overnight use (camping) on leased or licensed state land outside of a designated campground is allowed within 200 feet of a customary access point but is limited to two consecutive days. Camping on unleased or unlicensed land outside of a designated campground is limited to 14 total days within a calendar year. Camping in a designated campground is limited to 14 consecutive days. Motorized vehicle use on state land is restricted to public roads, such as county roads or highways or other roads designated by DNRC as open for such use. Off road use is strictly prohibited.
