What responsibilities does the UBC CPPD have?
• We manage, develop, deliver and evaluate continuing pharmacy professional development (CPPD) programs for BC Pharmacists, including: * Live Programs – evening events, conferences, workshops, etc. * Distance Education/Home Study or correspondence programs * Virtual Learning Centre • We work with several Regional Coordinators from across the province to help bring high quality educational programs to BC cities • We review and assign a credit value or continuing education units (CEUs) for CPE programs held in British Columbia (Accreditation) • We conduct research (ex. in adult education, the use of on-line technologies to deliver educational programs, etc.) • We help pharmacists to set up educational plans and provide educational support for individual pharmacists ex. for the RxCARE program • We organize programming schedules for the Lower Mainland and throughout the province with the Regional Coordinators.
