What responsibilities does DHH have over licensing boards?
In accordance with R.S. 36:803, professional licensing boards have sole responsibility for the regulation, examination,certification, licensing and enforcement of the practice act of their professions. DHH has responsibility only for budget review for compliance with all accounting, reporting, auditing and review requirements, and review of procurement, contract management and fees for the boards.
