What resources would effect access to the ERC?
• Modem speed (if applicable) or processor speed. • Desktop processor; for best results a Pentium processor should be used. • Local hard drive; a fast hard drive is desirable due to browser cache management. • RAM; more RAM is better since it directly impacts the operating system’s ability to handle multiple windows. • Monitor; a 17″ local SVGA monitor with 256 or better color palette is advised. • Desktop wallpaper with low color use. What kind of printing issues can I expect? Printing issues are usually a direct result of the system access speed. Slower connections result in slower printing. It is advised that customers print a maximum of 50 pages at a time. With slower modem connections, the maximum should be reduced. Each site is unique, so some experimentation may be required. Explain image access-type issues? Currently, ERC uses four different image types: GIF, TIFF, PDF and full-text.
