What resources does the Hospice Association of Ontario have available?
Much of this policy report comes from various HAO publications. They are: Stories of Hospice: This booklet includes various personal accounts of hospice care in Ontario. Visiting Volunteer Training Manual: The standard training manual explaining the process of training volunteers in Ontario. It is written for a facilitator of the volunteer training. It includes practical exercises to perform with volunteers. Community Residential Hospice Standards: This goes through all of the standards, and takes a lot of its information from the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA). A standards working group was involved in forming this publication. Client Services Standards for the Volunteer Hospice Visiting Service: This volume also contains a series of standards, mostly original to the text.
