The department offers a number of resources to assist taxpayers in sourcing retail sales. These resources include: (i) The “Local Sales & Use Tax Flyer.” This publication is updated every quarter and is mailed to select taxpayers reporting on paper returns. It is also available online on the department’s web site at www.dor.wa.gov under “get a form or publication.” It provides a listing of all local taxing jurisdictions, location codes, and their corresponding tax rates. (ii) The online sales and use tax rate look up application (GIS). This is an online application that provides current and past sales and use tax rates and location codes based on an address or a selected location on a map.
