Students who are returning from service in the United States Armed Forces may encounter unique challenges when transitioning to college life. The University of Texas at Austin provides information and access to a number of resources available to assist student veterans with taking advantage of Federal education benefits and tuition exemptions, readjusting to civilian life, dealing with the effects of post traumatic stress syndrome and other emotional issues, as well as finding community on campus.
