What research opportunities are there in the MA Program in Forensic Psychology?

0

The MA Program has recently developed an enhanced thesis track for those students who wish to focus on research in our program. Interested students take Psychology 715, Research Design and Methods, during their first semester. In the second semester, continuing students may enroll in two additional research oriented courses: Psychology 737, Descriptive and Statistical Data Analysis in Psychology; and Psychology 738, Advanced Research Methods. Students who achieve an A or A- in all three courses will be assured an opportunity to enroll in Psychology 791, the Thesis Prospectus Seminar, during their third semester, under the supervision of a thesis mentor. The enhanced track and new course descriptions can be found in the 2004 John Jay Graduate Bulletin. The students may also find other opportunities for research through their regular coursework and through interaction with department faculty.
