The Collaborative Research Unit in the Department of Medicine oversees many specific projects that involve improving the care of the medically underserved of Chicago. Residents can also participate in basic science research with the Rush Medical College faculty. Many JSH residents are also actively involved with JSH faculty in clinical research projects.
