What research facilities are available at NJIT?
As a new department, BME at NJIT has state of the art research facilities. Our East Building core site houses laboratories for biomedical instrumentation, neuromuscular engineering, motor control and rehabilitation, human performance and rehabilitation, and neural engineering. Nearby are two clusters of wet labs dedicated to tissue engineering and biomaterials. In addition, students participate in research conducted in the bio-optics laboratory and in the Center for Microelectronics, which is very active in the development of bioMEMS (microelectromechanical systems).
