CRF Publisher processes standard comma delimited files. The data must include Site, Patient ID, image reference (filename) and a document ID. For single protocol studies, the protocol can be set via the user interface. For multiple protocol studies, the protocols must be included within the data. Any other data fields can be included in the file for bookmarking or hyperlinking purposes. Usually this data is exported from a CRF management or Document Management system.
