What requirements are needed for the service?
Your service will be installed by Africa-Online, who will ensure that you will receive the best service possible. Prior to installation, a primary visit may be scheduled to ensure your location has proper line of sight to Africa-Online’s transmission towers/cell sites. However, accommodations may have to be made to allow the technician to evaluate where access may be established i.e. the roof or the window. Once proper line of sight is determined, one of Africa-Online’s professional installers will set up a convenient time to come to your location and install the service. This appointment generally takes between two to three hours. The installer will place an antenna on the outside of your location (usually on the roof) and run cable to the location of your computer or LAN. You are responsible for ensuring the antenna conforms to local building standards. The installer will also set up a special indoor subscriber unit that connects to the Ethernet port.
