What required college or high school class did you find surprisingly useful in later life?
I didn’t want to take it. I said I never, ever wanted to be a secretary, so why would I need typing. But I took it, or maybe we had to take it, I can’t remember…and now where would I be without it! Typing is SO much faster and easier than handwriting, something I used to take great joy in. Now I want the speed! And convenience, too. That was in high school. As far as college courses..hmmmm…I’ve never thought that any of my college courses really had a use in my later life! My degree is in criminal justice, and I did work in my field for awhile, but nothing I learned in college had anything to do with what I did in my work, I would say. Occasionally my two terms of Russian have come in for translating something, but that’s not something you need very often. My pottery class…no, not really….Ok, ok–I thought of one! Human Sexuality 101!! I’m pretty sure I might have learned something there I used later in life! LOL!! I can think of things that I REGRET not taking more of in schoo
