What religion was St. Patrick?

In short, “historically” rather than “traditionally”, St. Patrick was born in 387 A.D. in BOULOGNE-SUR-MER, France. It wasn’t until the 11 century that the Roman Catholic church began to “adopt” him as “their” saint. Through an historical document know as St. Patricks “Confession”, one of two known documents to have been written by his own hand, the Christianity that he taught the Irish people was a derivative of the Greek Church not the Roman Catholic Church. Although he brought many many people to Christianity, he was not the first to bring Christianity to Ireland…it was already there.
