What Religion do Mexicans Practice?

Catholicism is still the most widely practiced religion in Mexico, but protestant faiths are gaining a strong foothold in the country. Larger cities often have Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist, Episcopal, Presbyterian and non-denominational churches. Currently, we are seeing more missionaries from the Church of Latter Day Saints and Jehovah’s Witnesses at our doors. There are also large communities of Hare Krishna.

The majority of the population of Mexico is Roman Catholic at 89%. Protestant religion is also practiced in Mexico at 6%. 5% makes up the other population which follow different beliefs.
