What religion do hippies have?
Well the ORIGINAL Hippies were around at the same time that the Jesus Freak stuff started in the counter-culture. So a lot of them became Jesus Freaks. But not in the fundamentalist Christian type way at all, more in just the “peace, love” kind of way they believed that Jesus actually taught. They didn’t really look into it too closely. And they didn’t become Jesus Freaks under any religion, more like they freed Jesus from the constraints of religion, they thought. I never became a Jesus Freak although several of my friends did. I think a lot of us didn’t believe in religion at all.
