What releases of Microsofts Word does ViaVoice for Windows support and how much memory does my system require to run both ViaVoice for Windows and a supported version of MS Word?
MS Word release 8 (MS-Office97) and MS Word Release 9 (MS-Office 2000) is supported on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional. The minimum specification for running ViaVoice for Windows with Microsoft Word Release 8 and 9 is 64MB under Windows 95 and Windows 98, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 2000 Professional. Windows Me requires 96MB of Ram. However, like with any software, increasing the processor and/or the memory will improve the speed of decoding, but will not improve the recognition performance.
