Compeyson was the jerk who left Miss Havisham on their wedding. He left a note that basically said “I took all the money…” SHe never got over it so she stopped all the clocks in the house, kept her wedding dress, and trained Estella to be her minion. also Compeyson was in cohouts with HAvisham’s half brother and they planned to take her money from the start.
