What redundancy does the central monitoring station provide?
The system offers multiple levels of redundancy. First, the monitoring station is connected to an uninterruptible power supply we provide. Second, the central alarm receiver will continue to receive and transmit alarm information in the event the central monitoring PC station fails. It also transmits a page indicating the PC is offline. And third, the paging transmitter generates an alarm page if the central alarm receiver is offline. Also, any wireless link radio transmitters will hold alarm information in a buffer and resend data once the connection with the central alarm receiver is on-line.
