What recording speeds are in the standard specification?
Only 1X and 2X recording speeds are covered in Rev. 2.0 of the Orange Book Part II. However, the Orange Book Study Group in Japan (OSJ) is currently looking into higher recording speeds especially as they relate to the Orange Book, Part II. They have announced proposals to extend the Orange Book Part II standard accommodate faster write speeds.
