This will take a group effort because they used lot’s of studios. Olympic had a Helios and I think Ampex machines. The Rolling Stones Mobile had a Helios and 3M machines. Basing Street or Island had the first Helios that Dick Sweetenham built for any studio other than Olympic. Ronnie Lane’s mobile had a Helios in those days. BTW…. those were all probably germanium based. The stuff they did in the US on the second record was cut at several different studios. According to Wikipedia: Recording sessions for the album took place at Olympic and Morgan Studios in London, England, A&M, Quantum, Sunset, Mirror Sound and Mystic Studios in Los Angeles, California, Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, A&R, Juggy Sound, Groove and Mayfair Studios in New York City, and the “hut” in Vancouver, British Columbia.
