He holds quite a few outright, but one he shares is for the highest partnership for any wicket at Bramall Lane in a test match: 107 for the fourth wicket with SE Gregory in 1902. He also shares the record for the most 50s made in tests at the ground (1, shared with Jessop, Maclaren & Trumper). Those records will never be beaten because Bramall Lane is now a football stadium; it only ever staged one test, and no cricket has been played there since 1973. His other individual records at Bramall Lane are: highest test score (119), most career test runs (137), highest test average (68.50) & most hundreds (1).
