What reason(s) do people have to be pessimistic towards others?
People are pessimistic towards each other at times because they are simply reflecting their inner-feelings on others. People who are insecure and bitter will also be bitter with others. It takes an extremely confident and content person to show acts of kindness. The world out there is mad and the competition is high. I would not worry about this too much but rather be yourself and stick to your guns. If you are a person of good faith and possess high ethics stay that way. And for those who are negative they are just like that because they have no good to share with people. So don’t let bad people influence the good you have.
