What reading level is the book Shiloh on?
If you plan on reading the book out loud or as a shared reading project(children read chorally w/ the teacher) you can go higher than 5th grade. The reason is children’s listening (comprehension) level is usually higher than their reading level. Otherwise, using the book Shiloh as an individual reader is appropriate for grades 5th and up, especially if you go over the words that are more difficult to understand at first.
