What rates does PVI charge for fees and overhead?
In no case has Performance Vistas, Inc. ever charged a contracting agency a profit margin or fee above what it pays to its associates for professional fees. If the cost to PVI is $60 per hour, then the budget reflects that cost; PVI is reimbursed at the cost of that hour of service, no more. PVI does not add a line item to its personnel budgets, as for-profit firms do, to collect a fee (i.e., often a 10% profit line) for services above the direct costs of its personnel. PVI does include in its budgets a factor for the administrative costs of doing business, pegged to its personnel budget, because consulting time is PVI s product. PVI s management model allows us to control the costs of administrative overhead as a way of offering high quality services within state and local agency budgets.
