What radiofrequency coils are available on the scanners?
The Sonata (1.5 T) unit has the following receive-only coils: • Standard single channel head coil • 8 channel head coil • Spine coil • Neck coil • Body coil • 8 channel knee coil (suitable for imaging small objects) The Trio (3.0 T) unit has the following coils, which are receive-only except where otherwise specified: • A circularly polarized no-tune transmit/receive head coil compatible with certain implanted equipment such as vagus nerve stimulators • A 12-channel head coil • A 32-channel head coil • An iPAT compatible 4-element large flexible coil • An iPAT compatible 4-element small flexible coil
