It’s never a good idea to breed cross bred rabbits unless you really have a strong genetic plan. There just is no market for cross breeds and there are plenty of ‘mutt’ rabbits around that don’t have homes, languishing in rescues and shelters. If you just want to breed your rabbit, any breed about the same size is fine. If your rabbit is quite a large breed you will need to wait until the rabbit is about 7-10 months old before breeding it. The larger the breed it is the older it should be. If it is a dwarf breed, it might be mature enough around 6-7 months of age. Bucks should be on the older side to stay in sound breeding condition and to have strong litters.
