There’s no standard set of questions; they will be more interested in getting you to talk about what you already know. So, if you have no formal background in philosophy at all, it’s well worth reading at least one introductory textbook. I recommend Nigel Warburton’s Philosophy: The Basics. If you have taken a course in philosophy, then make sure you are prepared to answer on anything in your course; especially your coursework, if you have done any, and definitely any proper texts you have studied (ie, published works of philosophy rather than textbooks). You will probably have the opportunity to steer the conversation somewhat, so make sure time is spent on exhibiting your strengths and not exposing your weaknesses. The best way to do this is to be honest; if they ask you something you don’t know about do NOT bluff, under any circumstances!! Say “I’m sorry, I haven’t studied that in any detail” and perhaps offer an alternative that you are more confident about. Best of luck!
