What questions do they ask during Barclays phone interviews?
It can last from 1/2 – 1 hour; they will check with you at the start to make sure you’re okay to talk for that long, so if it’s not a good time you can just let them know & they’ll arrange a call back. Initially they will ask about your career history, going over your previous jobs & asking the key skills you have gained from these. They will also ask you to describe scenarios where you did a number of things: worked well in a team, received positive feedback for your work, encountered a difficult situation & overcame it, made a mistake & how you corrected this/what happened as a result. Also expect a few questions such as; describe yourself in 3 words, or describe how your work colleagues would describe you if asked to do so. Oh, and they have to ask if you have a criminal conviction, and possibly about your credit history, though I’m not sure if that’s in the telephone interview stage or not.
