What quantity of powder do size 000 gelatin caps hold?
The amount of powder that size 000 gelatin capsules hold depends entirely upon the density of the powder you are encapsulating. For example if you are filling them with a dense and heavy powder (eg. beta alanine) then the capsule will hold a greater amount than if you are filling it with a light and fluffy powder such as BCAAs. From independent tests we have found that size 000 gelatin caps hold between 0.8g and 1.6g of powder (800mg – 1600mg) depending on the density of the powder being capped. To create your own supplements, size 000 gelatin capsules should be used in conjunction with the size 000 filling machine and 00/000 tamper.
