What quality control procedures are in place for data review?
For publication records that are submitted using the submission interface, there are two levels of quality control. When a submission is first entered into NPArC, the data is verified (including access restrictions and copyright issues) before the records is sent to translation and metadata enhancement. After the record comes back from translation and the metadata processes have been completed, a second review is undertaken. For publication records that are submitted using a batch upload process, there is no data review. Users are encouraged use the “Modify record” link for a record if they have noticed an error or omission in the record.
