What Quality Control is in place for the production of Bio-diesel?
There are two important standards that relate to Bio-diesel production and use in Europe, and subsequently adopted into UK legislation; the Bio-diesel standard EN 14214 2004 and the mineral diesel standard EN 590 2004. They each ensure that products which meet these standards are of the highest quality. The mineral diesel standard also ensures that blended Bio-diesel is also up to scratch because it requires that the Bio-diesel which goes into the blend must first meet the Bio-diesel standard.
