What Qualifications Are Required to be Classified As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon?
A board certified plastic surgeon has met the qualifications of graduating from an accredited medical school, completed a minimum of five years of additional residency, normally three years of general surgery, and two years of plastic surgery, in addition to have been actively practicing plastic surgery for two years, and passing a comprehensive written and oral examinations.
