What qualifications are required to be admitted to the SEEDS EI sponsored Self- Employment Program?
• Must be a current EI claimant, or have been on EI sometime in the past three years, or had a parental EI claim sometime in the past 5 years. • Must be currently unemployed. • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. • Must reside in the Lower Mainland. • Must have a viable business idea. • Must have the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience to operate the proposed business. • Must be able to demonstrate a reasonable expectation of your ability to fund the business start up. • Your business must be a new business to you.
