What qualifications are needed to become a phlebotomy technician?
enroll and graduate in a certified phlebotomy program from a university, college, or trade school. I would highly recommend the lesser expensive college or univ. They usually run 6-8 weeks for anatomy, medical terminology, and then usually have to have 100 or so actual “needle sticks” in order to be elgible to take the national certification test. See ASCP website for more info.
