If its a trendy salon then the owners like the staff to look trendy its all about the image they are trying to promote. You just have to give the impression at the interview that you are really interested in hairdressing, be enthusiastic ask the right questions and smile. You will be meeting a lot of people and need to be a real people person…If after a trial period the owner of the salon likes how you are getting on with the staff and customers he will invest in you and you will get your apprenticeship or train you via another route.
