Based on your individual circumstances, you may choose to register as inactive under Rule VI of the Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio. This means that you would be unable to practice law in the State of Ohio. If you choose to remain active, you can request CLE accreditation for programs you attend in other states (Note that courses approved in other states are not necessarily approved in Ohio.) In addition, many state and national legal organizations submit their programs for CLE accreditation in the State of Ohio. To confirm accreditation, you will need to check with the sponsor of the program(s) you wish to attend.
