The wired NIC should only have the Zoom protocol bound to it. The ZoomAir card will have the Zoom protocol bound to it as well along with any other protocols (TCP/IP, NetBeui, etc.). Any Dial-Up Adapters should not have the Zoom protocol bound to them. With this setup the Access Point Software machine will act just like another node on the wired LAN, being able to see both wired and wireless machines. [ Top ] When ZoomAir is installed in a laptop a lot of noise (interference) is produced through the speaker(s). When the ZoomAir card is removed the noise stops. How can this be corrected? The problem is probably related to a IRQ sharing problem that windows may not be reporting. Remove the sound chip from the system resources (through SYSTEM PROPERTIED-DEVICE MANAGER), and than reboot the system (with the ZoomAir NIC card working).
