What protocol does the KIV-21 use to acquire unicast routing information?

0

Multicast Proxy Address Resolution Protocol (MproxyARP):MproxyARP is the protocol tha t KIV-21 uses to acquire unicast routing information. Itinvolves the transmission of MproxyARP Query and MproxyARP Reply messages. Thequery message consists of an ARP Query, encapsulated with an IP header. The IPheader of the query is addressed to the multicast address and is multicast to all the KIV-21s in the domain. The ARP Query is generated by a host or router on the localsegment of the KIV-21’s Red LAN when it wishes to send a packet to a Red destinationon a remote segment of the Red LAN, and it does not have the MAC address for thatdestination.
