What protocol does InstallFree use to deliver the virtual application?
InstallFree uses Server Message Block (SMB) and HTTP protocols to deliver virtual applications from the IFMC to the Bridge client. Q: I am an IT Administrator and I have a large amount of virtualized applications in my IFMC, but my users don’t need all of them and I don’t want to deploy them separately for each user. What should I do? A: Designed especially for this kind of situation, InstallFree developed a tool called “Self Provision” which is available in the suite 1.9 release. Using this tool an IT Admin can choose virtual applications which will be available to the user, and with the Self Provision application, the user can choose which of those applications he/she wants to access on his/her machine.
