What protection is provided to employees who exercise their rights pursuant to OSHA?
An employee, who exercises his or her right to request an inspection, records, or to point out violations, may not be subjected to retaliatory discrimination or termination. An employee who believes that he or she has been subjected to retaliatory treatment as a result of exercising his/her rights pursuant to the Act has the right to file a complaint alleging retaliation within 30 days of the violation.
