What proportions of green and renewable energy are being used?
Today, renewable energies represent 13.5% of the total energy consumption registered worldwide and 18% of the global electricity production. The production of renewable electricity originates mainly from hydro dams (90%). The usage of other renewable energy sources is very marginal: biomass 5,5%, geothermal 1,5%, wind 0,5% and solar 0,05%.
