As a non-Cypriot you are entitled to buy freehold property for your personal use, such as a house, a villa, an apartment, or a building site not exceeding 4000 m2 for the purpose of erecting a house or a villa within a reasonable time period. Offshore business Units may buy/build unlimited office/work space. A second home may be permitted depending on the type ( e.g. a holiday home in addition to a permanent home in the city. ) All EU citizens as from 1st May 2009 will be allowed to buy unlimited property as if they were locals.
