What proof is there of the Big Bang Theory?
What got the Big Bang theory started was that astronomers noticed that all objects in the universe (except locally-bound objects like solar systems, galaxies, and galaxy clusters) are moving away from each other, and that more distant objects are moving away faster than closer objects. If you extrapolate back the data they gathered, it implies that at some point, everything came from the same spot. Since then lots of other evidence has emerged that’s supported the theory, but not much has been found to contradict it–which means it’s the best explanation we have for the origin of the universe (and some other things). Something from nothing: on the level we operate, the macro level, which is dominated by Newtonian physics, that’s very true. But at the subatomic level, quantum physics dominates, and that’s a very different beast. WEIRD spooky things happen at the quantum level. In fact, subatomic particles can and do appear out of nowhere at the quantum level. So it’s entirely possible t
