What proof do you have for iron chelating property of Emblica?
• We have an in-vitro test “azide-induced UV-Spectral analysis” that proves the complexation of Emblica with iron. We have recently done molecular modeling of Emblica constituents (preliminary). It shows that Emblicanin A is the primary chelating agent and the others act as secondary chelating agents. They both are needed to occupy all the coordination sites of iron.
