What prompted the study?
Diversity is the lead argument. North Central Accreditation Group previously suggested that Hendrix study the idea as a way to enhance student diversity. It is projected that football will attract more male students and other students who might not come to Hendrix otherwise. Hendrix currently has a disproportionate percentage of female students – 57 percent. Such a discrepancy between male and female students is not good for the long term.
